The Drolet ECO-65R heats 800–2,600 ft² with a 125 lb hopper, up to 105 hours of burn time, a 500 CFM blower included, and 0.77 g/h average particulate emissions.
The ECO-65R is a residential supplementary heat source; commercial and industrial use is prohibited. It is not a central-heating furnace, must not be connected to air-distribution ductwork, and must not share a venting system serving another appliance. Installation must follow the certification label, the current manual, the pellet-vent instructions, and applicable local requirements.
The bottom-feed system of this stove is designed and tested specifically for use with wood pellets. The published maximum heat input rate is 50,800 BTU/h; the published overall heat output range is 6,966–28,526 BTU/h.
Maintenance components are removable without tools, and the large ash-storage area reduces how often ash must be emptied. Maintenance must follow the current manual.
The stove starts with automatic ignition and uses an electronic control that can manage heat in manual or thermostatic mode; a thermostat is sold separately. Ignition draws an average of 3.7 A (360 W), and continuous operation draws 2.15–2.9 A (258–348 W) on a grounded 120 VAC / 60 Hz supply. Pellet fuel must be premium grade or better.

A listed pellet-vent system or compliant lined chimney meeting the standards above is required and is not included. The exhaust system must be completely airtight and installed according to the vent manufacturer’s instructions, the stove must not share an existing venting system serving another appliance, and a flue damper must not be installed in the exhaust system. A grounded 120 V / 60 Hz electrical outlet is required, and the power cord must not be routed beneath, in front of, or over the stove. Bedroom installation is not recommended, and the stove must not be installed in a sleeping room in a mobile or manufactured home.
Mobile-home installation is approved only with a fresh-air intake: outside combustion air is mandatory, and the fresh-air kit is sold separately. The stove must be secured to the structure, the structural integrity of the floor, walls, and roof or ceiling must be maintained, and the vent system must meet the applicable listed mobile and manufactured-home standards. Alcove installation is not approved.
The information on the certification label affixed to the appliance always overrides information published in any other media. Some appliances have been tested with a low ceiling; refer to the current installation manual before setting up the unit. The manual also recommends larger access clearances for maintenance, which are separate from the certified minimums below.
| Clearance | Canada | USA |
|---|---|---|
| Back Wall (Manual Reference A, Measured from the Fresh-Air Intake) | 3" | 3" |
| Corner (Manual Reference C) | 3" | 3" |
| Side Wall (Manual Reference B) | 6" | 6" |

The stove must be installed on continuous approved noncombustible floor protection. In Canada, the manual permits reducing reference E to the U.S. value only when its complete shutdown, cool-down, blower-stop, and door-opening conditions are followed. Use the current manual diagram and full instructions rather than relying on this summary alone.
