The Empire Stove St. Clair 4300 is a zero-clearance wood-burning fireplace built into new construction or a framed chase, heating 1,000–2,800 ft² with up to 95,000 BTU/h from a 4.28 ft³ firebox behind double cast iron doors, with the blower, one-lever air control, and air wash system included.
The St. Clair 4300 installs in a framed enclosure with 0" clearance to the back, sides, and floor of the enclosure, with non-combustible front studs and headers and the space above the fireplace left empty to the required height. It is not approved for mobile home installation and has not been tested for installation inside a masonry chimney. The chimney system, hearth extension, and finishing materials are not included.
Rated to heat 1,000 to 2,800 ft², the St. Clair 4300 provides up to 95,000 BTU/h of maximum heat output and burns for up to 11 hours on a load of 25" logs, subject to installation and operating conditions.
The included blower, rated up to 176 CFM, increases airflow around the fireplace air jacket and improves hot air circulation in the room. An optional forced air distribution kit can carry heat to another room up to 50 feet away.
This non-catalytic fireplace meets the EPA 2020 standard with an average particulate emission rate of 1.6 g/h and includes secondary combustion as a standard feature.
Two glass doors with cast iron frames open on a heavy duty double door latch, a single lever adjusts the burn rate, and the air wash system keeps the 14 1/4" x 12 3/4" per door ceramic glass clear for a full view of the fire.
The 5/16" thick steel top is designed for extended heat radiation and lasting durability. High-density ceramic refractory lines the firebox for insulation, and a high heat ceramic baffle is built to perform at high temperatures.
The St. Clair 4300 is completed with a black or nickel door overlay and the traditional faceplate and classic brick refractory. Optional accessories include the forced air distribution kit, the warm air circulation grill, and a 5" fresh air intake kit.
Per the Empire Stove 2026 price sheet and installation manual, the St. Clair 4300 includes the blower and requires a door overlay, a traditional faceplate, and the classic brick refractory, which are sold separately.
