Product Features
Zero-Clearance Built-In Design
The WFP-75 is a built-in wood-burning fireplace designed to be framed into new construction or a remodel, without the mass and footprint of a site-built masonry fireplace. The fireplace enclosure permits 0" clearance at the back, sides, and floor under the fireplace, while every other published clearance, framing, facing, and hearth requirement in the current Model 8411 manual applies. The arched face measures approximately 35-1/2" wide by 37" tall per the current HearthStone catalog, with a door opening of approximately 24-1/2" wide by 12-3/4" tall per the current manual's dimensional drawing.
2.5 Cu. Ft. Firebox
The 2.5 cu. ft. firebox burns dry, seasoned cordwood and accepts logs up to 20" long loaded east-west. The current owner's manual recommends 16" logs loaded north-south for everyday burning. Published maximum burn time is up to 9 hours, depending on wood, draft, and operating conditions.
Non-Catalytic Double Combustion
A non-catalytic double-combustion system burns the wood and then the gases it releases. Secondary-air tubes beneath the C-Cast baffle supply air to complete combustion before the exhaust enters the chimney. The system is EPA certified using cordwood at 1.14 g/hr average particulate emissions, with a 68% (HHV) and 73% (LHV) average overall efficiency and an optimum efficiency of 74% (LHV) at a specific burn rate, per the current owner's manual.
Included Convection Blower
A convection blower rated up to 176 CFM is included with the fireplace, drawing room air around the firebox and returning warmed air to the living space.
Chiseled Cast-Iron Facade
The facade is European cast iron with HearthStone's chiseled stone texture, finished in Matte Black or Brown Enamel, and it ships installed on the fireplace. The single ceramic-glass door is framed in cast iron and gives the WFP-75 the open sightline of a traditional hearth.
Refractory Ceramic Interior
The firebox is lined with refractory ceramic panels that reflect heat back into the fire for cleaner combustion and give the firebox a finished masonry appearance.
Flexible Heat Distribution
Beyond the included blower, the optional Forced Air Convection Kit (94-57110) can move heat to another room up to 50 ft away, and the optional Hot Air Distribution / Gravity Convection Kit (94-99100) adds two gravity hot-air outlets above the fireplace. Fresh-air connector components — a 4" adapter, an air-inlet block-off plate, and four screws — are included with the fireplace for installations that connect outside combustion air.
Dedicated 6-Inch Chimney System
The WFP-75 uses a dedicated 6" chimney system listed to UL 103 HT (2100°F) or CAN/ULC S629, beginning with a listed 6" anchor plate secured to the fireplace. The minimum straight system height is 15 ft from the base of the fireplace to the chimney cap, and the fireplace must never share a flue with any other appliance.
Available Finishes and Configurations
The WFP-75 is a single base model available in two finishes. Pricing varies by finish.

Installation, Clearances and Hearth Requirements
"Zero clearance" describes this class of built-in fireplace, not an absence of requirements. The current Model 8411 manual permits 0" enclosure clearance at the back, sides, and floor under the fireplace, and at the same time requires the combustible clearances, noncombustible facing, hearth protection, and chimney clearance below. The current owner's manual and its drawings govern every installation; review them with your installer and local building official.

In every configuration, the hearth protection must be at least 41-1/2" wide in total, extending at least 8" beyond each side of the door opening, with sheet-metal joint protection where the manual specifies it. Confirm the applicable configuration and its construction details using the current Model 8411 manual, your installer, local code, and the authority having jurisdiction.
Framing and facing requirements include the following. These reference values do not replace the manual's complete installation drawings, and allowances may need to increase for the fresh-air kit, the forced-air kit, or the finish materials used.
| Framing and Facing Reference |
Value |
| Straight-wall framing reference |
37-3/4" wide × 23-7/8" deep |
| Framing material, sides and rear |
2" × 3" or heavier |
| Directly above the fireplace |
No combustible framing; the zone must remain empty for 80" from the base of the fireplace |
| Fresh-air framing allowance |
12" minimum on the applicable side |
| Forced-air-kit framing allowance |
18" minimum on the applicable side |
| Corner framing references |
50-1/4" on each angled wall, 14-3/8" on each return, and 79-3/4" across the front, as shown by the manufacturer drawing |
| Facing |
Materials directly in front of the fireplace must be noncombustible within the area defined by the manual's facing drawing; the faceplate must remain removable after the finish is installed; faceplate projection minimum 3/8", maximum 1" |
| Noncombustible shelf |
Permitted at 48" or more from the base of the fireplace, regardless of shelf depth; the manual identifies this shelf as noncombustible and warns that it will be hot |
A combustible mantel or shelf must follow the current manual's shelf tables. Without the optional mantel shield, a 6"-deep combustible shelf must be at least 58" above the base of the fireplace, an 8" shelf at least 60", a 10" shelf at least 62", and a 12" shelf at least 64". With the Mantel Shield (94-79700) installed, those minimums become 50", 52", 54", and 56" respectively. For other shelf depths, the manual provides its calculation method. The current manual and accessory instructions control final mantel and shelf installation.
The chimney is a dedicated listed 6" system (UL 103 HT or CAN/ULC S629) beginning with a listed 6" anchor plate secured to the fireplace; the manual notes the anchor plate is sold separately. The minimum system height for a straight installation is 15 ft from the base of the fireplace to the chimney cap. Where offsets are used, the manual calls for a recommended minimum 18" rise before the first offset, a 15 ft minimum system height with two elbows, and a 17 ft minimum with four elbows. The chimney must terminate at least 3 ft above its point of contact with the roof and at least 2 ft higher than any wall, roof, or building within 10 ft, must be braced if it extends more than 5 ft above the roof, must carry a rain cap, and must maintain 2" clearance to combustibles. A chimney venting this fireplace must not vent any other appliance. Alcove and mobile/manufactured-home installations are not approved.
The WFP-75 is a zero-clearance fireplace, not a fireplace insert, and it has not been tested for installation inside a masonry chimney. For applications that connect to an existing masonry chimney, the current manual requires the chimney to be inspected, maintained with at least 1" clearance between the exterior masonry and combustible framing or loose insulation, and relined with a listed stainless-steel liner of the same diameter as the fireplace flue outlet; no other appliance may share the chimney, and U.S. angled-connection limitations follow the exact manual.
A supply of outside combustion air is strongly recommended and is required by some jurisdictions and codes. The fresh-air connector components included with the fireplace are a 4" adapter, an air-inlet block-off plate, and four screws; the 4" insulated flexible duct, outside wall termination, and two adjustable clamps are not included. The intake connects at the right side or right underside of the fireplace per the manual. The manual recommends at least 10 ft of insulated pipe to avoid condensation, with a maximum duct length of 30 ft. The outside termination must not be located more than 50% of the total chimney height, more than 10 ft above the fireplace base, or more than 3 ft below it. Combustion air must come from outside the home — never from an attic, basement, or garage.
